Q. Who is K-tel Meds?

A. K-tel Meds is a marketing company. We are not a pharmacy. We work with licensed pharmacies to provide you with safe, reliable medications at discount prices.

Q. Are shipping charges billed to me for every prescription?

A. Shipping charges are $15 per package. Multiple orders for family members (ie: prescription orders for husband and wife) can be shipped as one package to the same residence. Otherwise, only one patient's prescription(s) is allowed per package.

Q. Is there a dispensing fee charged for each prescription?

A. Dispensing fees are included in our prices.

Q. Do you ship “drugs of abuse”?

A. No. We do not handle orders for benzodiazepines or narcotics etc. We concentrate on maintenance drugs for such diseases as cancer, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart problems, eye problems, thyroid problems, asthma, migrane, birth-control pills, etc.

Q. What is a generic drug?

A. A generic drug is the same chemical with the same strength but is made by a different manufacturer. The generic manufacturer does not have to spend enormous amounts of money doing drug research to develop the drug so they can pass the savings on to you.

Q. What information do you need from me so that my order will be processed as fast as possible?

A. To process your order we will need:
  • The Release Form, the Health Questionnaire and the Prescription Order Form. You can complete all three forms on-line. Or you can print the forms, complete & sign, and fax or mail back to us.
  • A valid US prescription. Fax and then mail us the original prescription issued by your doctor. NOTE: We will need to receive your original prescription(s), written by your doctor, before your order can be shipped.
  • Your billing information. We accept Visa credit cards.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Instead of making a special visit to your doctor to get your prescription, call your doctor and ask him/her to fax the prescription directly to us. Our toll free fax number is 1-866-583-5300. Then complete the forms and fax or mail them back to us.

Please ask your doctor to write your name and address clearly and legibly on the prescription.

Q. How long will it take to process my order?

A. New orders - You should receive your prescription order within 10 to 14 business days after we receive your complete order including prescription. Not completing the three forms correctly, or failing to provide copies of the prescriptions could delay the order.

Re-orders - You should receive your prescription refill within 10 business days, providing your original prescription allows for refills and the prescription has not changed.

Q. Is there a limit to how much I can buy?

A. Yes, you may purchase only a maximum of a 3 month supply of your medication.

Medications are only available in the quantities shown. Packaging cannot be broken into smaller quantities.

Q. What can slow down the process of my order?

A. Sometimes, this process can be slowed down if:
  • We do not receive copies of your prescription from either you or your doctor.
  • You do not complete the forms correctly, or if information is missing.
  • Your credit card information is inaccurate or incomplete. Always ensure that you copy down your credit card information accurately, and ensure that all the fields are complete when using our on-line forms.
  • Your credit card company denies the purchase because it is from a foreign company. Sometimes as a security measure, credit card companies will deny purchases that are made in a foreign country if they can tell that you haven't traveled there recently. It helps if you are able to speak with your credit card company to let them know that a purchase from a foreign company will be going through on your credit card, so that they will know to permit this purchase.

Q. How do I pay for my order?

A. At this time we accept Visa, bank draft or check. If sending a personal check for over $300, your check must be certified.
